Apisto haters stay away!!!

He let me use his canon rebel XT again:D any suggestions? i use Tissue paper taped on top of the flash to dim the lighting.
i really want to get better so if anybody has any suggestions about them that would be great. for give the background, i know its ugly.
many of these fish have never been on the internet before, so you better enjoy them!

First up, a yawn shot. one of my best actually.Cópia de IMG_8022.JPG

next is a unidentified apistogramma speices. inspecting an interesting hyacinth root.Cópia de IMG_8036.JPG

Third is a relation to the otocinclus i think. it is about three inches,
['V']onster otocinclus eh?Cópia de IMG_8057.JPG

next is a unidentified predatory characin i caught on the rio negro. check my second blog for a full story.Cópia de IMG_8059.JPG

Fifth: do you like you upside catfish? i dont care much for them so i bought me an upside down cichlid.
Cópia de IMG_8074.JPG
sixth is my largest efasciatus at about 5 inches. she had terrible fin rot but has healed wonderfully.Cópia de IMG_8089.JPG

i think this is a l095 pleco. not exactly sureCópia de IMG_8105.JPG

8 is an unidentified catfish. he stays hidden most of the day and when he does come out he is always moving thus the few pics! Cópia de IMG_8107.JPG

i bet very few people mfk has seen a live one. they are called basketmouth cichlids aka acaronia nassa.
Cópia de IMG_8125.JPG
last is a juvi acara.Cópia de IMG_8151.JPG

Nice pictures. Do the hyacinths thrive in the home aquarium? I had a ton in my outdoor pond and brought them in for the winter. The air / water temp in the basement is 60 degrees, but they're not fairing too well. I was going to move them all to heated water and hope for the best.

And more pix!!!
now the fun begins!

First two pics is the oscar i love his orange speckles. dont worry he was only in the tank for a little bit while i shot some pics.

they need lots o flight and warm water. i think humidity helps too. sorry i cant really help you. i just am keeping them in the tanks for a little while cause the pond sprung a leak.
thank you.

No problem, I appreciate the response. I was only asking because the woman I got them from kept them in her greenhouse, but it would get cold in there. Mine started making a comeback when I added more lights. During the last two weeks they've taken a serious turn for the worse. I'm going to put them in a tank and start heating them. The humidity could be a problem, too. It's less than 50% in my basement.

that basketmouth looks awesome, what is it eating
What is it eating when i took the picture or what does it eat. if you meant what was it eating in the picture the answer is nothing i had to take him out and hold his lip.
he eats live fish if that was what you meant.
