Hello MFK!

I have been browsing these forums for the last few months, and after a recent relocation to the D.C area, I've finally made the leap and purchased a nice sized tank. Browsing craigstlist for the last month, I stumbled upon this acrylic tank (96 x 18 x 30) with a DIY stand and a Fluval FX6 for $300 (I think its a fair price, let me know if not :P)

The acrylic appears to be distorted, and there are notable scratches. How hard will my job of buffing everything out be? I've never done it before, as I've only had glass tanks. As for filtration, what would be reccomended? Future stock list is going to include SA Cichlids for the most part, maybe a turtle if at all possible. I won't be able to start working on it until after we close on our house, which is this Friday. But I am extremely excited to begin everything.

Thank you guys in advance!

-Nick

I got into a 200 gal tank about 6-7 months ago and started with
2 Fluval 406 canasters and ended up adding a FX6 so that being
said I wish I'd of went with a sump , You will need another canister filter
to go along with that FX6 probably .
