They do look like similar...but are in fact a color variant of P. Loiselli that we collected in Honduras two years ago.

Interesting.

In that picture they look a lot more like Loisellei than they do in the video.

The male's fins are loisellei for sure.
Their bodies are really long. Much longer than Loisellei i've seen.

The fish in the picture is about 13". The fish in the video are juveniles about 7-8". I have a larger speciment in the pond that is spot on the one in the photo. That plus the color on the video is lacking. The yellow in the face is more visible in the photo.

Not to bring this back from the dead..but did they ever classify this new species as a true loiselli sp. la cieba or is it a hybrid?
