Can anyone help me sex it? It looks a little rough, I think they had a red devil with it for a day or two at the lfs . He's in a 90g by himself for now. I'll be slowly adding 3 small rays to the tank over the next week or two though. Hopefully he heals up by that time.

What do you guys think? Decent buy for $20? It's about 6.5" long.

Should I add some Melafix to help it heal, or should it do fine with just nice clean water and noone to hassle it?

Sweet fish. I just bought a 3"er for 15 bucks so I would say yeah good buy.

yeah def good pick up, the poor thing looks like he was totally thrashed! the poor thing, you could add some melafix if you want but i think he should do fine with just some good clean water, might also consider adding a little salt to the mix, its just a grow out tank for the rays right?

Yah, I'm picking up a 220g (72"x30") this weekend which will be there future home. Right now they're all 3 less than 8" diameter. This tank is just to separate them from the rest of my fish so I can fatten them up and break them to new foods first.

Nice pick up, a little melafix never hurts IMO.
