2 years ago I purchased a new Water Heater that was a 9 year warranty... Yesterday as I was going to do a water change on my 300, I noticed the warm water was out
irked
. The Thermocouple went bad so I had the option of calling a Plumber to replace the gasket and Thermocouple or go through the Wonderful Home Depot return line
... I went with Plan B at 7pm.
After 2 hours, I got a new one since they found the purchase on my "Remodel HD Card" and they honored the exchange even though they are supposed to send me to the manufacture first (Plan B payed off ).
Finished Installing it at 10Pm and then had dibree clog up my faucets (45-1hr later, I finished cleaning them
)
Woke up at 3:30am to get to work...
Now! Here I am still wanting to do a water change for the fish sake...
So after all this, is it Okay to do a water change with a Newly Installed Water Heater about 12 hours young?
Yes I will be adding Prime and dose 1 cap extra to my tank/sump water volume (total of 8 cap's full- 300gl+100gl Sump that is just under half full of water).
I hope im over thinking this but I would rather think to deep than not think enough and kill/injure my fish
