New Wild Morph Snook Shoal

Here they are in the 265g tank. They're starting to get their spots.



The one in front is the biggest of the bunch, he's about 7"TL. I think I can sex at least two males.


It's not the most colorful of tanks...(yet).


There's nine wild morph snook, a sveni and baby Cincta pike, a female gt runt, a filament barb I couldn't catch, two striped raphaels and a bristlenose plec.

Here's a video I saw on Youtube that I really like. I don't know the owner, I hope he doesn't mind me posting these here. They have nice spotting and the red fins and tail...and of course their awesome big mouth. My tank is going to be sick when I have nine mature snook.

Snooks are outstanding when mature. Yours are looking great balton, well on their way. At first I was thinking to go with a couple more ornatum, but I think you made the right decision.

Going to try and reach the reported size of these guys Balton? I've never seen one "maximum body length of about half a meter" before ... (From American Cichlids II by Linke and Staeck).

Given what you did bringing that female festae back, if anyone can get them to 18" SL, it'd be you. Good luck.
