new with this cichlid

hey im gettin a buffalohead an i was wantin to know about it. like what do they eat an stuff like that. he is goin to be in a 20 for now.

they are really neat fish, definitely bottom dwellers, very territorial of their particular hidey hole/cave/whatever. I find them to be more aggressive than most aquarium literature I've read tends to state, especially towards other small cichlids. As for feeding, just like any other cichlid, NLS, hikari, or whatever, they are not picky

yea but i read that they eat meaty foods an some sites say ther diet should be consisted of vegys. so algea based food or what?

sinking african cichlid pellets supplemented with spirulina pellets will work. in time, you will want to get a bigger tank with more africans and lots of rockwork. have you looked into what you will do for a setup down the line?
