Capital Cichlid Association is hosting a weekend event called AquaMania on Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10 at the Hilton in Gaithersburg, MD.

Big thanks to Li and Monsterfishkeepers for being our Platinum Sponsor!

If you're into Central and South American cichlids, this is an event that you shouldn't miss...

Ever wondered how new cichlids make it into the hobby? Ken Davis (fishfarm) is going to present on collecting in Honduras and Uruguay, where he's done just that... Ad Konings and Rachel O'Leary are speaking as well...

Want to buy fish from Jeff Rapps (www.tangledupincichlids.com) and other vendors and hobbyists who specialize in New World cichlids? AquaMania will feature a Marketplace (swap meet), a rare fish silent auction, raffles and other activities.

Got fish, plants, supplies...whatever to sell or trade with other hobbyists? Get a sellers table and keep 100% of what you sell.

Check out www.capitalcichlids.org/aquamania to learn more about our weekend of fish, fellowship and fun featuring:
- World Class Speakers (Ad Konings, Ken Davis and Rachel O’Leary are booked)
- Aquarium Beautiful Competition
- Marketplace (Swap Meet) featuring fish and supplies from leading vendors and hobbyists
- Silent Auctions, Raffles and Give-Aways
- Information, Resources and Prizes for kids, beginning hobbyists and the general public

Registration is only $30. Go to www.capitalcichlids.org for more details and to register today!

Texas is a bit far but we've got folks coming down from New England, up from the Carolinas and over from parts west.

Oh, and speakers from Georgia (Ken Davis), Texas (Ad Konings) and Pennsylvania (Rachel O'Leary)...

Matt

Matt, I can't make it up but I may have some stuff you can sell if you'd like me to ship some things up. I wish more stuff like this happened around central Florida!

Not to be too cryptic, but we're getting donations from some pretty awesome sources. Only the coolest stuff is going to be in the the auction. And only folks who register for the event will be able to bid on these lots.

We've already got about a dozen folks committed to the Sunday Marketplace (swap meet)...and this is still a couple of months off! There are going to be some amazing deals from vendors and hobbyists who don't sell in auctions...

Matt

Can't wait. Looking foward to seeing what's going to be in the rare fish silent auction. Got any inside details Matt? ;)
