Beautiful xingu. Where from? I would change the substrate to black sand.

I think you should add a third color to the substrate, maybe some purple gravel.

Yes it was sold as Xingu...Got it from Ichiban Tropical. Yeah I thought about black sand or just all black gravel.

It's definitely a xingu and I would go with sand. Waste and food can get trapped in gravel so its harder to maintain. What other cichla do you have? I see an azul in there

I have wanted to do sand before but thought it might be harder. So the gavel is harder to keep clean? Can you vacuum the sand just like the gravel. Or is cleaning the sand done in a different way? I have two azuls and the xingu.
