Taking a bus trip for a college class to experience new york. never been before and am more interested in trying a slice of real new york pizza.

gettings dropped off in Times square so it has to be around there, who has the best pizza near times square?

roflmao, are you kidding me? what is "real new york pizza"? typically it just means the "pies" are made with thin hand toss crust and cut they slices super wide (probably because the stupid crust is so thin, you'd feel ripped off), nothing to write home about. you can get it anywhere.

yet another reason to hate new york, claiming italian pizza as new york style

its a free trip so i cant complain. theres 3 or 4 places around here that claim "New York" pizza status. Its good but i wanted to taste the original or something like it to see what the hype is really about. Im sure Pizza hut's "Big Yorker" would bring many of the old world pie masters to tears.

Times Square and "real New York" doesn't really go hand in hand. Real New Yorkers never venture near Times Square.

yeah i dont go to time square for pizza more like lower east side. And no one can make pizza like new york. I been to italy and the Americanized version of pizza is a million times better and im sure over there in Oregon they make the crust so it tastes like cardboard. We even beat out Chicago's stupid deep dish.
