First off...

how big?
what tank size are they going in?
what kind of filtration you got for set up?

pH should be neutral to slightly acidic.

You will want to keep the temp a little lower (75 ish). This will slow their metabolism and aggression some. In that size tank, don't be surprised if you only have one fish.

Be sure to provide lots of cover (plants are good). This will break up the space some and hopefully the fish won't fight too much.

this is the biggest mistake people make, RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY, you may find out in a month that they are to expensive, to much work, or whatever... i dont want to knock you or anything but would you buy a dog before you found out what it needs... be a responsible pet owner and find out what they need first, hope it works out for you

i keep my red belly tank temperature around 78-80

what jredner trying to say is that keep the temp low to lower down the aggressive when piranha in such a small tank. piranha especially RBP are agressive when small so keeping temp low are best way.

78-82f should be with a large aquarium with plenty of room for them to swim.

Keep in mind that piranha in the wild are high temp in the amazon, so keep in low 80f are good.

ohhhh lol :perv:

No I wouldn't normally keep my temp at 75. I keep my tank at about 80. I recommended that reptech keep his tank temp lower to curb aggression.
