i am getting a 155 gal. :headbang2and was wondering if that is big enough for a black arowana or an other arowana.

155 is minimun for one and yes it will be good for a black since they grow slow and do not grow that big but they still do grow big. its not good for a silver though they need like 200+ australiann and asian 180 shoul dbe good for them but 150 can fit one

Well depends on its dimensions. Depends on the size of arowana your going to get as well. But a 155 is a pretty good sized tank.

180 Gallon
24” Silver Arowana
2x 18” Iridescent Sharks
2x 14” Sailfin Plecostomus
12” Black Shark (Labeo Chrysophekadion)
12” Tiger Oscar
12” Leporinus Fasiatus
4x 8” Tin Foil Barbs
6” Farlowella
5X 6” Plecostomus
3” Gold Nugget Plecostomus
2X 3” Chocolate Sailfin Plecostomus

its a 6 foot long bowfront

You should be fine. An arowana tank should be at least 3 times longer than your arowana and at least as wide as your arowana is long. A black should be fine in that tank.

Okay I did some googling and looks likes most 6 foot bow tanks are 24 inches tall and 24 inches deep at the center of the bow. So unless you want an arowana over two feet long your tank will work. Your arowana may out grow your tank after some time but hey thats how I keep talking my wife into bigger tanks.

A black aro should be fine in that size tank if its at least 18 inches wide. I would keep too many other fish with it in the tank or will be over crowded. You could do a couple birchers.

FYI - Actually 6 ft tanks can be 125 (72x18x22), 135 (72x18x24), 180 (72x24x24). a 6ftx2ftx2ft tank is a 180. Aro's get large, Silvers in large aquariums get up to 2.5-3.0feet they are more flexible than the others so they typically can go into slightly smaller tanks. The Blacks are said to not grow as large as the silvers and are flexible, this lets them turn in a tighter tank. A 180gal is usually what most people recommend a single aro to be in.

6 foot tanks come in alot of different depths and heights but an earlier search of the web for "155 bow front tank" revealed the most common size was 72X24X24. Granted these dimensions result in a 180 gallon tank except Bow front tanks seem to be 24 inches wide at the center of the bow but less at the ends. I'm guessing the ends of the tank are only 18 to 20 inches wide which cuts the gallons from 180 to 155.

I do agree 18 inches at the ends of the tank is still wide enough for an arowana.
