Newb here! Help me please

I came to this board originally to get my 14" silver a good home, but nobody seemed interested.....so i went to a local fish store and asked if they could take him for me. The guy there told me that the puffer they had there would DESTROY my Aro and my 11" clown knife. Is that true? I asked if they would trade, and they said both fish plus $20 for their puffer (priced at $120) I love my other 2 fish, but they have out grown my tank.

Are these puffers really that bad ass? Should i just BUY the puffer and put him in my tank with these guys?

How big is the puffer and what kind is it?
As for if the puffer is a bad risk for tankmates, YES. They are notorious for killing other fish.
Where in Wa. are you? Seattle area?
I suggest you set a firm price for these 2 fish and repost the offer for a week in the "Buy and Sell" forum.

I posted asking price of around $200 then i said last chance, best offer...but got no love. I dont recall what kind of puffer. I was going to do the trade tomorrow. Does anyone know anyone interested in my 2 fish?

Well if the store will give you the puffer (at 120$ you said) for your aro and knife + 20$, don't you think 200$ for both fish is a little pricey? Maybe that's why people don't want it here. Don't forget most of us would require shipping/long drive et all...

As for the puffer, usually the only method to make them happy in a community is to raise them with the other fish they will be in. Bringing a puffer in this setup spells disaster, I would not do it. And if we do not know the type of puffer it's hard to help u.

Its a Fuhaka puffer. I wasnt planning on putting him in that setup. They are selling the Aro now for $150. The puffer is cool, and i want to throw some other fish in with it, but i'm afraid the puffer will attack them.

you got to ask yourself if you want the puffer over your 2 fish...thats the biggest deal there.....

As far as asking 200 for both your fish...yeah they might be a little large, but if bought small they cost @20-30.....Yeah they look nice but that's a little too step for them....id say maybe 60-80 each tops on a good day.....only cause they are not rare or hard to get....

If I was you Id keep what you have, and forget the puffer or get another tank for the puffer...

you would regret getting rid of them....
