Ok I have never tried my hand in the P bass hobby yet although I have always wanted to. I just have never had a tank big enough. Now I am planning on buying a 265 very soon which is 8 feet long. I have not quite sure about the stocking yet although I think it's gonna be P bass. I don't want to do my usual cichlids because I don't want one fish owning the tank and killing everything and I have no fish left except one in a giant tank.

So Pbass are like a community fish with each other correct??? like they in the wild school right??? they won't be raping each other like most cichlids do all the time???

So do you think a 265 is a good tank for a school on P bass??? and how many full grown Pbass can I keep in this tank???

How wide is the 265? Get something over 2' wide, or you really might as well have a 150 or 180g. If you still to ocellaris or monoculus you could keep a few and may not have any agression issues. Some pbass are pretty agressive though and you could possibly end up with just one, but especially with oce and monocs you shouldn't have that problem.

IDK if they really "school" persay. And yeah you can have aggressive bass.

How many per tank?

Realistically normally people would tell you none. If you want a real answer. I wouldn't put more thant 4-5 larger pbass in a 265 and it'll get cramped later. So have a home for them or plan on going bigger in two years.

Via usual MFK rules pending you have crazy filtration/find something to do with them when they get real big and loose turn around room, then as many as you want.
