filling up a tank is faster for me with bath water since the faucet is bigger and i can fit a whole bucket under it unlike with my facet which would semi-fill since id have it at a tilt.

bath water tastes different from tap water, would bath water be ok to use for fish? i live in hawaii and there is no chlorine or anything else in the water, but the water does taste different in the shower.

would it affect anything? or is it safe to use bath water in my aquarium? thanks

nobody?

depends... do you have some sort of filtration system for your house... theres a chance the kitchen water has some sort of filtration system on it...

theres an even better chance its all in your head.. i know for a fact that the water that comes out of my sink, shower, laundry room sink and outside hose all taste different... however they are all the exact same water and none of them have any special filters (which means its all in my head)

test the water in the shower and see if your levels are any different from the kitchen tap..

Some house's come with built in water softeners. Bath room, have water softeners. Living in Hawaii, water quality is good. Kaneohe may have better water then, to say, like Pearl City. Hawaii's water is a lot better the water from NY.

If you have municipal water, although if you have a water softener it may be different. There is one pipe that supplies your house from the water main, which means all water will be the same. In fact the pipe that it feeds from, feeds all the houses on your block, which feeds all the houses in your city, unless you have more than 1 water plant, all the water to every house is basically the same.

Water that goes through your water heater will taste different due to aeration and mineral buildup in the water heater. Are you comparing and using straight "cold" water or are you using hot/warm water mixed with the cold?

many good points have been made here. in my college course i went to a place called waihe'e tunnel and learned that the main water source is from within the mountains and there was a ton of water pouring out of the end of the tunnel/cave which we could put in a cup and drink straight from the rocks. the water mains are all gravity based and just flow down into everybody's houses all the way to the ocean.

its probably the piping. ahh next time my water change will be much faster than using a milk carton back and forth. lol
