Well my neighbor knows that I just got into fish and offered me his 75 gallon electric blue tank, he does not have the time for it and his new wife hates it. Any way I dont really have the room for it all though I could make the room and I know my wife will be mad, but hey at least I am at home doing some thing that she can see.

The tank is a 75 gallon 48x18x18 , with six 7 " electric blues , glass top , lights , power head, penguin 350. It needs a new stand.

He said make me an offer I cant refuse and its mine ? Dont want to offend the guy but I just bought a bare 75 gallon tank for $100 so it has to be worth at least $150 to $200 how much are the fish worth ?

and as a beginer should I even get into these fish?
I all ready can see this getting out of control.

hahahahaha peer pressure yeah buy it but i personally dont like electric blues

id say its a good deal (if you want the fish) i mean its nice to be able to pick your own. but because your a begginer id say start with one tank. then if you want anuther you could go to him or get anuther bare one.

If you don't want cichlids you could always sell them to a lfs or on here and find a fish that you like. I think another filter is in order since you are a beginner and it is always handy to have a back up, even a big sponge filter helps with the biological filtration.

electric blues as in the african cichlid or EBJD? If you want to be sure not to offend him, ask him for a ballpark price to see if you want to deal.

Hopefully I've helped a little more than the guys that ignored your question...

Thanks I think he wants between $150 to $200 for it , the thing is I allready have a 75 gallon that found and have put together for less than $200 from craigslist.

$150 doesn't sound like a terrible price, but maybe you can talk him down a bit since there's no stand? You could make a decent one yourself for a fairly low price- I've found that my main cost was the lag screws.
