ok, so i am really new to the whole aquarium thing. i currently have a 230 gal Glass aquarium but the main front side broke durring our move, which is currently being replaced. it is fresh water. i currently picked up a 300 Gal seaclear acrylic aquarium with 2 corner intank overflows for $100.00 with no scratches. the previous owner kept a snake in it. i have tested it and it dont leak, i was wondering if it was worth the price, and how do i use it f i want to run fresh water to it? each intake has 2 holes in it how do i fun the filtration system, and what woud u all suggest.

100 bucks for a 300 gallon acrylic sounds like an amazing deal to me. I'd do some research on the nitrogen cycle. It's just a good idea to understand the basics of keeping fish. By 2 corner intank overflows do you mean the tank has holes in the actual tank, or it's a type of overflow box that hangs on the tank? If it has holes in the tank I would recommend running a sump, or wet/dry filter. I would clean the tank with a 10% bleach solution, rinse it out really well, and let it dry completely, and then it's probably all set to use. I'd check out some of the threads about wet/dry filters for info on the filtration system, because if you tank is already drilled, the hard part about making the filter is already done, and making a sump isn't all the expensive.

it has 2 holes in the tank inside the bottom of the two overflows thats all. and i am definatly going to clean it out real good. can i use my 2 rena xp4's or something else be better?
