Newbie at FHs..

Hi guys, i have a silver aro and 2 red snakehead, but i just bought 2 little baby Fhs..their father has a big kok, so here are my questions...

#1. When or is it possible to tell if your FH will have a big kok?
#2. what are the chances they will have big kok just like the father?
#3. is there anyway to make ur FH's kok bigger by food or anything?

1) I've seen some small fh with good size kok already, so they should show it around 4"

2) chances are good if the father had good size kok

3) stick to grand sumo and chinmix

Big kok or not depends on sex and luck. Varied diet is best. Staple pellet, a good once in a while treat like shrimp, bloodworms, etc would be nice too.

just let me clarify. just because a dad has a big kok don't mean all his babies will also inherit that gene. if the baby is sporting good little bump at 1inch or 2inch then more then likely that baby will have a kok of some sorts. alot of kamfa strains might be late bloomers, and thus the kok don't show till fish is more mature. this is due too the parrot blood in them and we all know parrots grow real slow...
