Hey,

I have a male pup-motoro, 4-5in, I have been feeding him chopped up earthworms and he loves them. I have been feeding him 3 times a day 1-2 worms each time and he eats them all up. I also have discus that I feed flakes, black & blood worms. He also eats those.

My question is what is a good amount to feed them??

He is very active and always appears to be looking for food. I have tried Krill but he won't touch it. So I don't want to take the risk of trying to starve him to go after the krill. I haven't tried shrimp yet, I shrimp a better option than krill?

Thanks

if you havent had him for very long and it seems like you havent by his size,
i'd stick with what hes eating right now and get some weight on him.
get him plumped up a bit and used to being fed a few times a day, then once hes really settled in and a bit thicker start trying the starving method if he doesnt accept things readily.
and the ammount you feed him is really up to you, just dont feed him till he looks like hes gonna pop ! a little bulg on the backside after eating is a good sign hes definatly had enough.

as for shrimp being better, im not really to sure on that one but make sure you try and vary his diet, and you'll probably find that he will eat just about anything you give him pretty soon anyways !

Thanks for the advice

I have seen the bulge on him, but at the same time I also see what looks like his ribs so I worry that he is not getting enough.
