Hi, my name is Jim and I've been keeping fish for over 30 years. My interest mostly falls on armored catfishes but I like many other types of fish as well. I also love to photograph my fish but my skills fall into the sub-standard level in that area so it will be great to get some pointers from real photographers on this site. I'm pleased to say that I am part of the "monster network":, i.e. aquariacentral and monsterfishkeepers. My username is Loach43 on those sites as it is here. I've already seen a few familiar posters on this site so it kinda feels like home already!

I keep several species of smaller plecos. I'll post some pics on the site soon but I must admit I'm a bit intimidated by the awsome photos that exist on this site. My old sub-standard digital camera can only do so much but I have one thing in my favor, plecos usually stay still!

LOL, Li has enough bandwidth now to fit Amazon, Yahoo, and Ebay in a corner.
Actually I have a new problem where photograpy is concerned. I like to have my plecos in "blackwater" these days and it makes all of my photos look like I used an amber colored filter for the lens.
I'll eventually be submitting pics regardless tho. This site is awsome! Can't believe I didn't get here sooner.
