Hello everyone! I have been given some advice regarding additional filtration for my tank and need more. eeek! ive got a 125 gallon truvu aquasystem tank that has the following fish:
1 figure 8 puffer
1 chocolate cichlid
2 arulius barbs
2 bala sharks
2 pelvicachromis taeniatus (with about 15 1cm fry)
1 pleco
and 3 other semi agressive cichlid types (who knows what they are)
1 red hump

I was told that the standard tank filtration is insufficient and that I should look at getting an additional canister filter. perhaps the Rena xp4 or something else.

Any suggestions?
Please help

Right now i am only using the filtration that is in the back of the tank. this consists of sheets of that scrub pad like lookin stuff and the bio balls...i know i know i know.....but thats why i put the word newbie.......and why i am asking questions

the entire tank was given to me....stand hood and all the fixins.....so in that regard im pretty blessed.....but picking an additional filter has been a headache because i want this thing to be a stunner......and clean well....its a must.......the previous owner did nothing more than the filtration that i mentioned....filtration pad like scrubber things....bio balls etc....thats it.....i was told an additional canister filter would really make a difference
