Newbie here with more questions....

Recently bought a true parrot cichlid, this fish is gorgeous, however I never see him eat, he does not accept any other fish, and does not really acknowledge me at all when I.come to the tank. Anyone have any experience with these fish?

Got yourself a tough to care for fish. Only way i could get one to be even semi social and feeding was with lots of tannings in the tank and dead spot on water params. Got old real quick for me. He got sold in less then 4 mos.

Wow. So its not just me. He seems so moody and uninterested. Hes a cold fish for sure. I thought maybe he was eating when I am not looking ?

You probably bought a WC, which means it will tougher to keep and the fish will need to adjust. If you like the fish but are not up for the challenge, Jeff Rapps from TUIC sells F1's which should be easier to keep.

Mine was acting like that so I stopped feeding him for a day or 2 and he comes up of he's hungry.

Wc means wild caught.
