I know as soon as you open this, you are probably thinking, great, another person that can't read the sticky . But, in this instance, I have, my situation is slightly different though.
So I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 ballas, 2 pink gouramis, 1 dwarf gourami, 2 upsidedown catfish and a peacock eel (peacock is intolerant to salt). Saturday night I noticed Ick on the 2 gouramis, so Sunday I went out and bought Tetra Lifeguard, came home, followed the instructions and at the last minute say it says "not suitable for scaleless fish". I immediately removed the 3 scaleless occupants and added them to a quarantine tank I have. Monday I went back to the local family owned petstore asking for help, the owner directed me to AP Super Ick Cure, at half doses for 2 weeks. So I did a 20% water change on Monday, added enough medication for 25 gallons, removed the carbon and uped the temperature to 86.
Biggest question, the bottle states to do this every 48 hours at a full dose, but since I am doing 1/2 doses should I be doing it everyday or follow the 48 hour rule? Also I have a eco stone, is it ok to leave that in the tank during treatment? As of right now I have it removed.
