Hello! I've been lurking here for a few days, droolin over all the beautiful fish and set ups every one has. I'm a monster fish keeper wanna be, but currently only have a 30 g tank with 2 gold fish, and one pleco that we bought for my 6 year old for his birthday, totally uneducated about fish keeping. Since then we've been wanting to move on to more exotic fish, and of course a bigger more exotic tank to house those exotic fish lol.

I think Cichlids are what keep grabbing my fancy, but will have to wait until we can upgrade to a bigger tank from what I've learned so far.

Glad to be here, already have learned so much. Look forward to meeting you all.

P.S. This forum moves super fast! I thought the other forum I was on was fast, but this really takes the cake lol!!

welcome to mfk.. i am glad to hear you enjoy this forum ...so much it has to offer...good friendships and good pictures and good information.. so you are here at the right place.. and take your time learning.. :D

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!! :D

I would LOVE a 300g, but unfortunetly our current house just wouldn't be big enough.....gonna have to move to fit one lol.

I originally was interested in the oscars, but had no clue there were so many species until I started stalking this forum. Now I'm really gonna have to do my homework before I decide.

Any suggestions?? I would really like to get one now that would happily live in a 30g, is there such a species?

welcome to mfk...and its great to hear someone researching and learning before they buy something like 'one of those cute RTCs' lol.

have fun!
