So. Cal
I thought I'd start a new thread now that my fish have arrived. You can follow the previous madness on my other newbie thread.

All three arrived alive, however all three have ich. Of course the $25 fish has a very mild case and looks fine. However the two expensive ones both look terrible. Listing, sitting of the bottom, ragged breathing etc. I've treated with salt and heat but I don't know what else to do.

I've emailed both Julie and the seller stating that the fish arrived in very poor condition. Is there anything I can do if one or both end up dying? I'm really disappointed and I think this be my first and last time importing fish.
:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

take pictures for julie or whoever you bought from to see. if this is the condition they arrived in and it hasn't been too long, a lot of the times they will refund in credit or replace the fish.
how long have they been in your water, what was your acclimation process, and what are your parameters in this tank(include temp)?

They're two green texas'. They've been in my water for about five hours. My parameter are zero zero and 15ppm. Temp has been bumped up to 86 F with aquarium salt added. To acclimate they were placed in a bucket and tank water was slowly added. After about 25mins they were netted out and placed in the tank. Have some pics.

However, the littler one is looking better so I think he will make it.

well, they look okay in the pics . . . good luck

really nice looking specimens, too . . .

Thanks. Ich doesn't show up well on reflective fish. You can see a bit of it around his head and on the edges of his fins.

Quick update: contacted Julie and the seller and sent them some pictures. She was very helpful and said if the fish dies they will try to get me another one. I'm a little more hopeful since they both ate a few pellets. However the larger one still has clamped fins, white spots and ragged fins. And they're both still flashing.

I wouldn't have been happy with this either but it looks like you knew what you were doing. Lots of aeration is one of the best things you can give those fish. A good powerhead or 2-3 airstones will help them out a lot along with 82* water. Julie is good about getting you new fish if something dies on her behalf. Who was the seller and did you get anything else?
