Hello,

I have a 75 gallon tank and know what I want. Pikes!
Could I keep a few of one species or one of a lot of species in here?
Which species would you recommend?

Is breeding possible?
How is it done?

What are some good places to order online?

Do they exhibit a lot of owner interaction?

How should I set up my tank?

Good god I have too many questions. Research time!

To get a breeding pair, you have to buy 6 or more, wait for them to pair up, and then rehome the other 4.

For a tank that small, a pair of pikes from the saxatilis group would work, seeing as they don't get over 10".

Stick to one species, they have high aggression against other pikes.

If I didn't have a pair, could I have maybe 4 single pikes?

I think it would be a mistake to try and pair xingu I in a 75 gallon. Good way to have them beat each other to death.
