I am worried about when i buy new fish if they will get it... should i change out the water completely in the tank and was all the rocks again? i dunno someone please help me. thanks!!!

Need more information...

What did you treat with? & how much?

How long had the fish had the ick (or how bad)?

Where the fish new to you or did you introduce something with ick on it?

How big a tank?

Empty the tank, scrub out with hot salted water.

Clean gravel and little castle with boiling salted water.

If you feel uncomfortable still you can wash once with peroxide and rinse well.

Ick takes several weeks to break the cycle, so keep the fish being treated in quarantine and treat with salt at an elevated temp.

This will give you time to get the tank done. :D

Moving this to fish disease thread too.

Keep us posted,

Dr Joe
