hi. I’m not new to the fish hobby by any means but I’ve never looked in to rays ever. I ended up with a 72x30x30. And was thinking today “huh. That’s big enough for certain rays”
So my question is, what rays?
I AM aware about the legalities involved in all this. My questions are (these are for curiosity and future purposes, not for now. Again, legalities)
1) what rays will fit in that tank happily?
2) what’s up with Atlantic freshwater rays? True that they can’t stay in freshwater forever? I’m hearing something about ammonia levels and what not? I know those stay relatively small.
3) with rays that will fit in my tank, what’s the price point for them? (Yes. Legalities. Understood. Just a question.)
4) everybody says motoros are hardy and everything but they also get really big, correct?
5) that tank will have an arowana in it, as well as some silver dollars. So IN THEORY, it would have to get along with those. (Future, and curiosity. Again. Aware of the legalities.)
Thanks guys

Males stay smaller. Wallacei, scobina, mini marbles would be ok. Particularly if they are males. It’s not ideal, but it could work.

I’m also wondering this for future as well. Would a black diamond work in that size or do they need bigger

I was wondering if you have been able to find a place to purchase motoro or pearl stingrays. I'm having a hard time finding a place to purchase them.
