Newbie Ray question...

I am still researching my future ray tank and was wondering...

Is there a difference between Potamotrygon Henlei and a P. Leopoldi or are they the same type of ray? ( the "P" was abrev. and I don't know what it stands for?)

If they are different how so? They look to be the same???

yes they are different and the P. is for Potamotrygon which is the family which is freshwater rays...

Aside from the name, how are they different? Behavior? Price? Availability? etc.

I just know a lil about the names I live in the boonies and you can not even get fresh rays around here! Except for the guys of exotic aquatix!!!

both of the rays you have chosen are quite big species and not really for the beginner.

I notice in your sig your tank for rays is to be a 180gallong, which is quite honestly cutting it a bit fine. I would advise starting with a P. Motoro.
