Yes you can, for life, I would say you can keep up to 4 archer fish for life.

You can fit other fish, however a full grown archer get to be 8-10" in captivity, and can reach a full foot.

They eat pretty much anything.
Floating cichlid pellets/tropical flakes & pellets can be a main staple, supplemented with krill, blood worms, other shrimp or meaty foods.

Live foods can consist of guppies or small rosy reds, worms and especially crickets. They LOVE crickets.
However, I would limit the amount of live foods you give them (goldfish - ie guppies/rosy reds(toughies)).

Archers CAN sometimes be tough to get to feed, they should always accept crickets if nothing else, then you can work them onto pelleted/flake foods.

Mmm I love archers especially since I am an archer myself lol(pun intended). I think you could fit maybe 3. I'm not sure about four as I always prefer extra room as compared to it being cramped and unintentionally stunting growth or getting a bully.
Well I think crickets are a good nutrition source, Pellets would probably be good main source of food and use crickets as a treat/ occasional diet.

most of the ones i've had don't accept pellets at first, and usually I would give them frozen krill pieces or something like that and then slowly get them into eating flakes and eventually pellets

Most of the ones you see will be tox. jaculatrix or "banded archer fish". Its rare to find any of the micros.

Also, when feeding pellets I like to throw one at a time at the surface quickly, as if its a bug hitting the water.
