Hi mates,

im pretty new in this species therefore can any kind souls out there to give me some valuable advises on what to feed them with?

Hope to get all your valuable replies soon!

Cheerios!

Try to get your little dude onto pellets.
Much better for it in the long run.
All my pulchra eat pellets now.

Stay clear of live feeders, you could go for meal worms, earthworms, whitebait, market shrimp, canned krill etc.

Remember to keep your temp below 22c at this time of year!

Hey thanks for the quick reply bro, due to im staying in Singapore and the temperature is pretty high..but my channas seems to be ok with it though after a month. As what i realise is that they are not as aggressive compared to Gachuas as they tends to be more shy. :(

They are a Sub-tropical fish mate.
Higher temps will eventually lead to some pretty nasty infections.
They will also be more active and colorful at the correct temps.
Looky here at one of mine:

wao! thats a beauty! did you use neon light for it?

Just a standard tank strip lifght.
The color comes out in all my fish that i put kettapang leaves in the tank.

Also get the right temp, ph and contrasting substrate, you will get spectacular colored fish.
