Newbie to flowerhorns :)

Hi everyone I just got my first aquarium and would like some pointers as to how to raise my little flowerhorn :) Any tips and tricks will help!

I do have some questions too,
1) What kind of flowerhorn do I have?

2) Is it necessary to decorate the tank with rocks, plants and etc?
3) My fish aren't eating :( what should I do?

first one is a Vieja that's been neglected. Take good care of it and the colors will come out. Then with that you can ID what vieja or hybrid.

second one is a common red dragon ZZ.

It is not needed to always redecorate. Let the fish adapt to the spot and water is what's important. But U can do that for fun with your fish it doesnt hurt.

They not been eating maybe because you just got them and they are scared as hell in the new home. For the little vieja it could take days, or even a few weeks to adapt and eat because they are sissy fish. For the Red Dragon, it should eat on the first day. That's their typical personalities.

If youve had them for a good while like 2 weeks and they dont eat, something's not right. Like intestine Parasite
 
I got my entire tank plus the water from a friend so the fish have been in it for a while :) They are finally eating now too! But they don't like it when I get close to the tank... kinda depressing :( I guess that will take more time
