Hilo,Hawaii
I live on the big Island of Hawaii and have been doing salt water off and on for about 30 years.
I have never been able to get my dream tank here since shipping is really bad. I am trying to get a 300 gal now and hope to get one soon. I will settle for a 250 but rather get 350gals. I had a 75gal but it was junk and broke.I am really lucky to have the ocean in my back yard and I work at the piers. I use water from the ocean and get sand and rocks from the beach there. Our reefs are quite young and not the most colorfull but the choices are many. I had an octopus and an eel and all kinds of shrimp. Best one I had was a snowflake eel.he was like a puppy in a tank. I hated to let him go back to the ocean. well I look forward to reading all your intresting articles and hope to make a few friends here.
Thanks,
Ken

Cool man, must be nice to be able to go out and catch your fish for your tank!

I was thinking the same thing. Not going to find any moray eels in New England. Is that a morish idol in there? Have you had any trouble keeping that...I know they can be really tough to feed.

Welcome to MFK!!
