Hi all

i just recently got a snowball pleco ( about 15 or 16 hours ago). right now hes in a 20 gall tank in a few years i plan to get a bigger one that i wil move him into. he is about 2 inch right now we wanted a small one for a 20 gall tank. we have a penguin 200 filter the box says its good up to 40 gall so thats good enough for me. but i understand that snowballs like alot of current and was wondering if anyone thinks i need a powerhead and if so how powerfull any info at all would be appreciated heres a vid of him

If I were you, I would just lower the tank water level an inch or so. Basically, increase the height the water falls from your filter to the water a little bit and you should have more water current. I hope this makes sense to you.

Not so much the current as the 02 it provides. Why not hook up an air stone? That plec will be fine in the 20 for life I think they max out at 4 inches.....

i do have actoully have a 10 inch air block thing that you cover up with sand so i feel i am good on air right now but thx for the help i can get some good quality powerheads cheap so i think ill buy a small one i just feel they would like more current
