Hi,

Right i have a few questions and will appreciate if anyone can answer them please.

What is the best Ray to start with im currently looking at Motoro Pups?

Are these any good for my first Ray?

Are they best kept in groups?

What size do they roughly grow upto (personal experiences please)?

Minimum tank size?

Can they have any tank mates?

Any special requirements ie tank set up etc?

Can they do me any harm?

I think thats in for the minute.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Right i have a few questions and will appreciate if anyone can answer them please.

What is the best Ray to start with im currently looking at Motoro Pups?

Motoro

Are these any good for my first Ray?

Yes

Are they best kept in groups?

Optional

What size do they roughly grow upto (personal experiences please)?

Mine is 13 inches at 1,5 year old. Some others can pinpoint this more

Minimum tank size?

180 gallon can last for a year, then you have to upgrade, cant say gallons as the floor space is the most important

Can they have any tank mates?

Yes, there is some suitable, read up on the stickies(there is some pinpoints in there)

Any special requirements ie tank set up etc?

BIG filter and loads of waterchanges. Fx5 would keep a single stingray biovice

Can they do me any harm?

Yes they can, you have to be carefull so you dont get stung, never bin there, but its hurts ALOT and the wounds could stay there forever(heard of people having a wound for 5 years). Duo to the toxicity and bacteria.

I think thats in for the minute.

Thanks in advance.

Hope it gave some answeres.

Good info, The only things I would add is that females will get much larger than males. Male motoro will get between 10-15" disk where a female can on some occasions reach 24" or greater disk. Also they can easily be burnt by heaters so you have to either cover the heater or keep it in a sump.

Read through the stickies a few times if you haven't already there is a ton of good info there
