Browsing thru craigslist i found a new Odyssea T5 72" light for $100. Got the guy down to $85 so i bought it. I know Odyssea isnt the best light out there but couldnt pass it up for $85. One of the "white" light bulbs was missing.(broke in shipping) Question one, is it safe to operate with only one bulb when fixture was designed for two bulbs? Doing the same with the actinic bulb. Which brings me to question two, i know the actinic bulbs are more for saltwater, but running just one gives a nice look. Any harm towards fish using actinic?(my stock should be listed in my sig) Last question. This unit has led moonlights. Now, the power cord going to leds has no switch at all. So the only way to turn off leds is to kneel down and unplug from inside cabinet. Do people just leave them on all the time? Do they draw that small of amount of power? Or is this just a bad design?? Thanks in advance.

Replace the "white" bulb, 10k is nice when paired with actinic lighting. I find this combo to really make certain fish colors pop out. The actinic light will not harm your fish. Leds can be on a timer. Nice to have a seperate cord for the moonlights.

The working white bulb is a 10k. And yeah i like the 10k/actinic look also. Just think running two 10k's and two actinic might be a little to bright for my Oscar. And keeps me from buying another bulb.-lol

I agree two 10k may be overboard & too bright. I have 36" Coralife HO T5s on a 60 gall & 120gall --- Only one bulb of each & loving it!
