Just picked up a Blue Acara and a Gold Sevrum last night. They are just babies, but I was wondering if one happened to be male and the other female. Would I be about to sex these two? Meaning will they breed with each other? is it possible? and if it is how easy or difficult is it?

Any info or discussion would be nice.

Impossible for them to breed.

As for sexing. If your sev is male, around the 3- 5" mark he'll start getting worm like markings on his gills, slightly longer fins etc. If he is in fact... a she. She wont.

As for the acara i have no experience, but i'd wager venting as your best bet.

Best of luck
