Newbie with XP2

So today I went to petsmart and found all the fish stuff on sale. I guess they are shrinking the fish section and are just selling half of the stuff to move it.

Anyways, so I picked up an XP2 for 37 dollars and a AC20 powerhead for 8

Normally I would never use a canister filter due to cost, but at 37 dollars it was cheaper than the new HOB filter I needed.

So I spent like 30 minutes reading the manual, then I set it up in my whitewater/clearwater tank.

So is there anything I need to watch out for or know about canister filters in general? I bought this with 0 knowledge/experience.

no, they are easy filter to set up and upkeeps.. Clean them every 3 to 4 months, again this is depending on your fish stock.

thats a great price! as said, the rena's are easy filters. i own 2 xp4's and love them. easy to prime and get running!
