has any ever raised one of these saber tooth payara? are they mean? howquick do they grow?

i haven't kept them, but ive heard alot from those who have. They are slow growers, but I don't know enough to give you an approximate rate. They'll gladly eat small fish that fit in their mouths easily, but won't bother anything bigger than that-- prone to getting bullied by meaner tankmates. Alot of people say their tank needs to have several powerheads running, since they live in fast-moving water in the wild. Most people say this fish tends to mysteriously drop dead around 12", even though many species can get 3 feet.
