Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to MFK!!! I just joined yesterday myself this site is awesome and very informative for sure that 37 gallon of yours is very nice !!! and as far as your 55 I have kept a very large small mouth in a 200 gallon she weighed little over 5 lbs I caught her from a creek I lived close to in missouri she did real well. depending on what size you get you may have to upgrade to a bigger tank but if you get a small one she should do ok

welcome to our aquatic world and nice cichlid tank! if you're seeking stocking suggestions for your 55 gallon, i'd suggest a peacock eel a black ghost knife and a senegal, which are 3 of the fish that i have in my 55 gallon tank. i have a few other species, but the forementioned 3 are probably my favorites and they fit well in the 55 gallon.
