well im new in the game and i just bought a lil 5-6" tarpon and put it in a 55g tank by himself wit some crawfish in there.. just lookin for some advice or comments. what can i expect? do i just feed him feeder fish?

well if your on here expect alot of feeders are bad responses hahaha =) j/k but frozen foods are better like krill and silversides i believe. unless you quarantine all you feeders and treat them before you feed

 i agree. If you're having trouble trying to get him off live food STARVE him. Good luck

Welcome to MFK fishingaddict!

Good way to get into the monster side of the hobby! You shouldn't need salt water - as far as I know tarpon can be kept in fresh and salt. But a bigger tank will be a must soon. If you don't fancy that or cannot get a bigger tank, there are plenty of mini monsters available. Have a search around the forums for ideas.

how big are we talkin here? i mean cuz im a college student.. and well.. money dont come easy. i mean is it ok for him to be in the 55g? is it hazardous or just limits the fish's potential?

yeah. and your dude tarpon is going to eat alot, so just monitor his eating habits.
And I agree with everyone here. 55 will eventually be too small.....
