Where the Parachromis roam...
I am seriously considering going with Rays but have a million questions,is there a "beginers"ray, are they more difficult to keep than CA+SA cichlids??What ph do they need and how many can i keep in a 125 gal tank??All advice is appreciated!!!:headbang2P.S. the rays will be the only fish in the tank, and how much do the "beginers"rays go for??:headbang2

try by reading some of the stickies and doing some research there is a ton of information on this on this section of the forum...

and when you say "beginner" do not get yourself a retic, they are often sold at LFS but are some of the hardest rays to keep especially for a beginner. in my opinion, as a novice ray keeper, motoro rays are easiest to keep. they are docile and rather hearty rays.

oh yeah and chiclids are usually too aggreasive for rays. also you should be ready to spend around $100 depending on your area as you will most likely want to start with the motoro. retics are alot cheaper but already stated buying one from the lfs or wholesaler and they arent usually for the beginner.
