Newbs looking at piranha options

For those of you that are looking into piranhas the stock from vendors is low... piranha season usually starts off around March with a shipment or 2 from peru/brazil until may/June is when all the baby Caribe come in ( if you want a more aggressive shoal I recommend waiting for Caribe over red bellies...Imo they look nicer and are less skittish) ....so do ur research now cycle your tanks and wait a few months there will be better choices

I wonder if I wi be able to get my hands on a elong. I found one for sale in New Jersey but he said that he couldn't ship it because of new laws. I don't know if I'll ever get my hands on this fish.

Your gonna have to wait till may/June for baby caribe.....that's when they come in .....but it's worth the wait ....you can usually get 1 inches for $20-$25 a piece which grow an inch a month till around 5-6
