Hi everyone
Thought i'd best introduce myself.
I'm Paul from Blackpool and have recently set up a new fish tank
At the moment i have a 4'x2'x15" tank.
I have a young 3" peacock bass 1 5" Oscar which was given to me.
2 Dovii approx 3"
The dovii are a mating pair albeit i have just discovered and have a vast amount of young to my surprise after 4 weeks only.
Could do with a bit of advice on what to do in this situation.
Female is hidden away and been badgered for more.
Male aggressive and super protective and giving over fish a hard time.
I will be setting up a new tank up tomorrow and am open to suggestions.
Not sure whether to move the male along with fry to new tank or just put female in it to give her a break.
Or just let it kick off.
Peacock bass can handle its own but the Oscar is getting a hard time although it is a good 6" long 4" tall.
Male Dovii don't take no **** and like a dog with 2 cocks.
Quite amazed that they are juvenile and bred so soon.
Any info would be highly appreciated.
regards
Paul
