well, Im glad to say i have know idea what a steel blue is, which is a good thing, as Im currently learning apisto complexes. Using the key ive narrowed it down to 3 choices.

  • A. atahualpa
  • A. linkei
  • A. commbrae

Now ive got to familiarise myself alot more with the crossband section to start with, however so far i feel im tracking it right, so im tipping A. linkei.

So do tell please?

Great looking little guy and beautiful tank.

'vspec' - Most apisto experts are pretty sure they are A. caetei x A. resticulosa, but like most asian created fish, info is next to nil so no one really knows.

stunning fish and beautiful tank!

Thanks Peter. They're my first dwarf cichlids, and I think I want more. I saw a pic of an pisto called sp. Alto Tapiche that is now on my most wanted list.
