This is my newest addition to my African tank. Its a Reganochromis callurus its not something you would typically run into. He is about 4 inches. He isnt fully colored right now, when he is he has a light blue to his fins and shimmer in his scales. (like what you see shimmering off in some of the pictures). Thought I would share some pictures =]

Cool! Looks a bit like a Gurnard in some of the pics - unusual. Where's he from in Africa?
 
He is from Lake Tanganyika up to 60m under the water where sand and mud are, it grows to 6 inches and feeds off of shrimp and smaller fish in the sand/mud.
 
60metres?! Wow - that's a long way down! Is he wild caught?
 
Yah, that lake is pretty deep though, Frontosas inhabit that lake alot deeper then these guys =] I am not sure if he is a wc or not. The guy who had them in his pet store said that he got them from someone who had got them in so he could try and breed them, but they didnt breed so the guy at the pet store took them.
