Newest Gator Gar

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
very nice he is huge, only gonna get bigger to, very cool

I consider him to be a little guy still, at least in comparison to the two bigger gars in there. They are almost a foot longer than this guy. The second pic shows the size difference between the 3 pretty well, if you look closely you should see the two bigger guys under the small one.

Trying to grow my littlest gator up enough to put in this pond. Still has about 6" at least to go.

how long did it take you to grow out your gators to that size? they look great. Im getting a little 3" one in a few days cant wait till hes big enough to go into the pond.

All of them were purchased at larger sizes actually. They had either outgrow their tanks to the point they were longer than the tank was wide or for the smallest guy the previous owner realized that he couldn't house it long term and sold it.

From talking with the previous owners though the two biggest gars both between 32" and 34" and roughly 2 years old. The 22" gar is roughly a year and a half. The smallest guy is a guess prior owner only had it 2 weeks and it was picked up in pretty rough shape. Had some hlle that had resulted in quite a bit of pitting in the skull, most of which has healed up, as well as being really skinny. The bad care and slow growth this one has shown make me thing its probably around 2 years old.

Gators grow extremely fast

nice would love to own one but the wife would freak if she came home and i turned the living room into an indoor pond lol!

hi friend,

I have some questions for you. I want to build such a tank, too. What size is your tank? How do you built it? I think the material? Thank you for your reply.
