Newest purchase...

I was in Ross the other day and to my amazement, i found an arowana statue for $10! Obviously I had to buy it, but i did not like the weird metallic blue resin it was made out of so I decided to paint it. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the entire process but here's the end result!

First i spray painted it copper. Once that dried, I spray painted the entire thing black and then took some paint thinners and a rag and wiped the black from all of the raised surfaces (ie the scales). Then I took some blue green acrylic paint and diluted it with water and allowed it to run into all the grooves, giving it an aged look.
