Hi fishfriends :D!!

Some of you may know I have just bought a 55 gal. Well the guy had about 7 Tropheus Dubois. He originally had 2 and they have spawned several times so now I have the 'family' of 7. 2 of which are almost microscopic...lol. I have them in a 29 (had to move the fish from there to my 55 as it was overstocked). Question I have is can I keep the family together in the 29? They are all doing fine no aggression with eachother. They've cohabited for 2 years as their little family grew. I want to keep some not all. How long can I keep them in this 29? I have 15 I can use for the fry when they spawn again. Just wanting to juggle this fish frenzy I have going on!!

I am reading as much as I can about them. Any tips and advice would be greatly apprecaited. I am in love with these beauties. If I didn't take them he woudl have just given them to this rundown petshop down the street. He's moving out of state for a job. I took the Dubois, Queen Arabesque, bushy nose pleco, and a gigantic Angel fish.

I'll post pics later :)
Thanks!!

I've never kept this fish, but they have special diet requirements. Make sure they get a veggie/spirulina based food.

My guess is that a pair of adults and 5 juvies would be fine in a 29, at least in the short term. Especially considering that's the only place you have for them..
