I currently have two large spawns of Midas/Barred Midas and don't really know what to start feeding them with? They've begun free swimming so what food are recommended? Crush flake food, frozen baby brine? Egg yolk? Any pointer would be appreciated.
I don't know the specific food that is best for Midas cichlids but Liquidfry is good for many fry. My fry food is just goldfish flakes that I ground up in the blender. You have to commit the whole can to get the blender to do the job. You need to chop it to just before it is totally a powder. That way, as the fry grow, you can still feed it to them until they are large enough to start on flakes.
